What to see...
Ebenezer is one of the 5 Macquarie Towns settled in the early 1800's, so there are numerous historical sites.

At the bottom of the road is Swallow Rock Reserve that accesses a walking trail along the river, a few kms and you'll get to Ebenezer Church.

Ebenezer Church is the oldest in the country.

A short drive away is Tizzana Winery, the winery was established by the growers that first settled Mudgee.

Windsor is ten minutes away, and dripping in history. Make sure you get to the museum to appreciate the challenges a Hawkesbury flood can create.

The river is accessible from many locations, you can hire a scaled-down replica tugboat at the Windsor Wharf from Bruce.

A drive to Upper Colo is a wow, lovely sand, slow flowing water, just sit in the shallows in the shade of the overhanging willows.

Energetic activities...
For those so inclined, the Hawkesbury is a boating heaven, numerous launching sites, and calm waters. Yes, we can accommodate boat trailers.

Kayaks can be rented at Macquarie Park. From Windsor, cross the bridge and turn left, a great spot to cool off on a hot day.

Where to eat...
Make sure you check out the celebrity dinner opportunities at the Cooks Co-op run by Martin Boetz, who is providing a world-class paddock to plate restaurant just 5 minutes down the road. They do a winter series of Sunday lunches and local nights serving up some fantastic curries.

Thompson Square in Windsor hosts the Macquarie Arms Hotel (another oldest) and numerous eateries including some great fish and chips..

If your thinking cooking breakfast is too hard, try Tractor 828, it's the local equivalent of your trendy city cafe, 4.5 on Trip Advisor.

If your planning to have a bbq here, make sure you stop to see Barry at Wilberforce Butchery, great steaks, and the sweetest cooked river prawns. Yep, and the bottle shop is next door.
